Managing Total Parenteral Nutrition
Total parenteral nutrition (TPN) is a method of infusing a specialized nutrition solution into your body through a catheter into your vein. Your doctor will decide if you can eat or drink while on TPN. Your nurse will help you and your caregiver get the support you need to manage TPN at home. You will be able to care for your catheter and infuse your TPN independently.
